Is Morgantown Actually Right for You?

Morgantown delivers killer access to the Appalachian outdoors, affordable living, and football Saturdays like you won't find anywhere else. But with all that charm comes college town chaos, less-than-approachable hills, gray winters, and the reality that everything revolves around West Virginia University. With pros and cons to consider, people move here anyway because the hiking trails are unmatched, there's a tight-knit community vibe, and affordable living makes up for navigating drunk freshmen in the fall and near-impossible parking situations.

An Underrated Outdoor Spot

I really enjoy the natural beauty of the WV Botanic Garden off Tyrone Road. It's situated just outside of town in Cheat Lake, but it offers a lot to visitors - from butterfly sightings to wildflowers, unique plant life, walking trails, and more. It's a great place to take your dog for a walk, too!
