Lagomar Neighborhood Guide

Lagomar is a quiet, well-kept suburban neighborhood tucked into the southwestern corner of Virginia Beach, bordered by General Booth Boulevard, Nimmo Parkway, and the marshes and wetlands that edge Ashville Park and Lotus Creek. The community sits close enough to Sandbridge Beach for weekend escapes without the tourist congestion, and its proximity to Back Bay and Lake Tecumseh makes it a natural fit for residents who spend their free time on the water or out in the marsh. Golf carts are a legitimate mode of neighborhood transport here, backyard gatherings are a genuine local tradition, and the schools draw consistent praise from families. The tradeoff for all that green space and calm is a real one: mosquitos are a seasonal fact of life, and the marsh carries its own particular atmosphere. What you get in return is a brand of low-key, polished suburban living that is hard to find this close to both the beach and the city.
