Boise State / University District Neighborhood Guide

The University District is Boise State's home turf in the most literal sense, built around the famous blue Smurf Turf and the campus energy that radiates outward into the surrounding blocks. Bounded by the Boise River and Julia Davis Park to the north and Broadway Avenue to the east, the neighborhood blends academic life with some of the city's best casual eating, coffee culture, and access to the Greenbelt's river path. On game days the whole area transforms, with tailgate crowds filling the streets and Bronco blue everywhere you look, but on quieter days it reads as one of Boise's most walkable and livable urban neighborhoods. The tradeoffs are real, including parking that disappears on Saturdays and the general hum of a dense student population, but for anyone who wants proximity to campus, the river, and a neighborhood that actually feels alive, University District delivers.
