Riverside Neighborhood Guide

Riverside sits in the northeast corner of Princeton, wrapped on two sides by the Delaware and Raritan Canal and Lake Carnegie, which gives the neighborhood both its character and its daily rhythms. Families here tend to be drawn by the tree canopy, the proximity to campus, and the relative quiet that comes with being adjacent to university life without being inside it. Mornings bring joggers out to the towpath along the canal, and the school-year pace is set largely by Riverside Elementary, which anchors the community for many households. The neighborhood carries a certain settled confidence, the kind that comes from knowing you landed somewhere genuinely pleasant and largely overlooked by people who only think of Princeton in terms of campus tours.
