Pancake houses, candy shops, fudge kitchens, and souvenir stores line nearly every block, joined by well-known draws like Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies and Blake Shelton's Old Red restaurant, making this corridor one of the most densely packed tourist strips in the Southeast. The trade-off for all that energy is the traffic, which turns the strip into a slow crawl on busy weekends and peak seasons, though the walkable layout means most visitors are better off parking once and going on foot.
