Moving to Fresno?
Affordable homes, farm-fresh food, Sierra weekends, brutal heat. Use this hub to sort the Fresno moving tradeoffs.

Is Fresno Actually Right for You?
Fresno offers shockingly affordable homes, farm-to-fork food that’s actually fresh, and direct access to Yosemite and Sequoia (weekend-trip distance), but you'll pay for it with brutal summer heat, car dependency, and explaining to everyone at family gatherings and group chats why you moved here. People keep coming anyway for the space, the cost of living, and the fact that you can actually buy a house without selling organs or winning the lottery.

An Underrated Outdoor Spot
People sleep on the San Joaquin River Parkway trails off Riverview Drive, but that’s my go-to when I want quiet without driving to the mountains. The air smells like river water and dry grass, and it’s way cooler with the breeze moving through. You’ll hear bikes whizzing by and birds losing their minds in the trees. Bring bug spray in the warmer months or mosquitoes will treat you like dinner.
