Moving to Durham?
Barbecue, breweries, RTP jobs, rising housing costs. Start with the Durham moving topics that shape daily life.

Is Durham Actually Right for You?
Durham offers big city culture with legendary breweries and barbecue, greenways and the Eno, and strong job options in RTP, BUT you will face rising housing costs, car-heavy errands, event traffic, demanding HOAs, train horns, and humid summers chock-full of pollen and mosquitoes. People still choose Durham for its lively arts scene, outdoor access, and community energy that remains a good value compared to bigger metros.

An Underrated Outdoor Spot
If you want the outdoorsy vibe of Durham without running into touristy traffic, I'd recommend Little River Regional Park. You get beautiful trails and river views without the business of Eno, and I love bringing my dog to the pet-friendly areas, too.
