My Favorite Season in Gulfport

Mardi Gras! Starting right after Christmas on 12th Night in January, the Mardi Gras season steps up when the winter blues would normally start to creep in and runs right up until Fat Tuesday, kicking off the 40-day Lenten season before Easter. The whole community gets involved, and there are parades, balls, and of course, king cake!
