Greater Pinellas Point, known locally as the Pink Streets neighborhood, occupies the southern tip of St. Petersburg where quiet residential cul-de-sacs give way to mangrove-lined shoreline along Tampa Bay. The area is loosely bounded by 54th Avenue South to the north and I-275 to the west, with the bay wrapping around the point from Bay Vista Park all the way to the Sunshine Skyway channel, making waterfront access and sweeping sunrise views a genuine part of daily life here. The neighborhood carries an old Florida character that feels distinctly unhurried, with golf carts, kayaks, and backyard birding more common than commuter traffic. Residents trade the density of central St. Pete for larger lots, saltier air, and the kind of mornings best spent on a porch with coffee pointed east. The tradeoffs are real but manageable: mosquitoes are a seasonal presence, and the proximity to Skyway corridor traffic occasionally intrudes on the quiet.
