East End Neighborhood Guide

Boise's East End is one of the city's most coveted addresses, a walkable stretch of tree-lined streets running from the Boise River Greenbelt up into the foothills toward Table Rock and Military Reserve. The neighborhood is defined by its older character homes and bungalows, many of them warmed by the same geothermal water system that made Warm Springs Avenue famous in the early 1900s and still draws buyers willing to pay a premium for it. Residents have easy access to the Greenbelt, Barber Park, and a network of foothill trails, which means outdoor recreation is genuinely part of daily life here rather than a weekend trip. The proximity to downtown keeps things practical, while the slower pace of the neighborhood itself, with its porch culture and mature landscaping, makes it feel distinctly residential. It is the kind of place people move to and tend to stay.
