What Danbury Weather Is Really Like
Is it going to snow, rain, or maybe something worse? The summers are hotter than a hat factory and the winters hit with a nor'easter punch. Here's what else is going on around Danbury that will impact the time you spend outside.

Lynn, Our Local Expert Guiding Your Move
Lynn has lived in Connecticut almost her entire life, and knows the difference between shoreline charm and quiet river towns. She's sampled pizza and donuts all over the state visiting all 169 Connecticut towns. Her most memorable (and probably last ever) move involved the trifecta of a hurricane, loss of power, and an August heatwave (so don't even get me started on moving horror stories!). She knits, bakes, metal detects beaches, and firmly believes New Haven pizza is a food group of its own. At Snappy Scout Lynn turns decades of CT discoveries into sage moving advice you'll enjoy reading and actually use.

Local weather fashion tip
Layer like your life depends on it because it'll be 30 in the morning and 68 by lunch, then invest in boots that can handle slush, ice, and existential dread.
You know it's time to get out of town when
You start thinking a gray 40-degree day feels like a heat wave.
Bugs be like
Mosquitoes own June through August, ticks are lurking in every blade of grass waiting to ruin your hike, and the occasional stink bug invasion reminds you that nature is chaos.
You're stuck indoors again today because
There's black ice masquerading as regular pavement and another storm is on the way.
Green thumb enthusiasts love
Perennials come back reliably, and you can pretend you're a farming genius for five glorious months if you time everything right.
My Favorite Season in Danbury
Early fall in Danbury is where it's at. It's still warm enough to be out on the lake, but the trees are in their prime, changing colors and giving the landscape a painted look. Even the mall's chaos brings back memories of back to school shopping, making the crowds more tolerable.
