Baseline Corridor Neighborhood Guide

Baseline Corridor is a dense commercial strip running along Baseline Street between Waterman Avenue and the 215 Freeway, where almost every major chain retailer, fast food brand, and big box store in existence has claimed a parking lot. The neighborhood functions less as a residential enclave and more as a utilitarian spine for the surrounding east San Bernardino communities, offering unmatched convenience for everyday errands at the cost of a driving experience defined by traffic signals, perpetual construction, and parking lot navigation. Residents who live here tend to value pure practicality, with walkable access to major retailers and an overwhelming number of dining options within a short stretch of road. The tradeoff is an environment built entirely around the car, where the pedestrian infrastructure exists in theory more than in practice and the visual landscape is an unbroken sequence of signage and surface lots. For people who prioritize access over atmosphere, Baseline Corridor delivers on that terms with very little apology.
